College Possible is proud to work with more than 800 students in Milwaukee at 14 partner high schools. Our students have an average GPA of 2.8, and more than 90 percent are students of color. Our students report an average annual family income of less than $25,000. College Possible expanded to Milwaukee in 2008. In its first year, College Possible Milwaukee served 53 juniors at three partner high schools. In the 2016-17 program year, College Possible Milwaukee will serve more than 800 high school juniors and seniors, 1,300 college students and over 2,100 9th and 10th graders through College Prep Talks. Through the generous support of local organizations, foundations and individuals, the program continues to grow and expand in Milwaukee area schools.

Brothers Kou and Cha Vang are continuing a family tradition of going to college for free. Both brothers were awarded comprehensive scholarships to attend prestigious universities in Wisconsin. Imagine choosing between buying food and paying your college enrollment deposit. This is a reality for many college students as food insecurity remains a widespread but rarely discussed issue on college campuses.
