What drew you to College Possible and why did you apply?
I saw the posting for the VISTA positions on the AmeriCorps website and was really intrigued. Then I started reading more about the organization and what College Possible has achieved and realized that their mission really aligned with my values about education equality. I knew I had to serve here in some capacity, so I applied.
What’s your favorite thing about serving with College Possible?
I love meeting students who are really excited about our program and want to be involved. Building a relationship with them over the course of recruitment and having them stop by the College Possible office just to say hi makes all the long hours and phone calls worth it.
What has been a favorite memory from your service with College Possible?
Any time Corps members have gotten together outside of the office to decompress and just have fun has been a good memory. We do birthdays together, game nights, happy hours etc. There has been a lot of laughter both in and outside the office.
What would you say to someone considering serving with College Possible?
If reading about College Possible makes you excited, then follow your gut and apply to serve here. I came back for a second year because one year wasn’t enough for me and I think that’s very much the general sentiment among Corps members.
